LW9-72.5 / 66kV Outdoor SF₆ Circuit Breaker

The LW9—72.5/T2500—31.5 outdoor three-pole AC 50Hz high-voltage SF₆ circuit breaker is primarily designed for the protection of transmission and distribution lines, and can also be used as a tie circuit breaker. It features a three-pole assembly mounted on a single frame and does not support single-pole operation.

I. Compliance

This circuit breaker complies with the requirements of GB 1984《High-Voltage Alternating Current Circuit Breakers》 and meets the international standard IEC 60056《High-Voltage Alternating Current Circuit Breakers》.

III. Performance Features

1. SF₆ Arc Extinguishing Medium
The breaker uses sulfur hexafluoride (SF₆) gas as its arc extinguishing medium, which offers excellent arc quenching and electrical insulation performance. During interruption, the gas is compressed by a cylinder and blown onto the arc to extinguish it. This design delivers a simple structure, excellent interrupting performance, and stable operation, making it an ideal switch for switching capacitor banks and reactor banks.
2. Superior Interrupting Performance
It can reliably interrupt various abnormal short-circuit faults, including phase opposition faults, two-pole simultaneous grounding on both sides, near-zone faults, and breaker terminal faults.
3. Low Operational Noise
The fully sealed design isolates the breaker from the atmosphere, eliminating noise from gas discharge during operation.
4. Compact & Simple Structure
The interrupter uses a single-break design with no additional valve systems, resulting in a very simple and compact configuration.
5. Low Maintenance Requirements
The simple structure and minimal contact wear during SF₆ gas interruption significantly reduce maintenance workload and extend inspection intervals.
6. Safe & Reliable Operation
Pure SF₆ gas is non-toxic and non-flammable, and the hermetically sealed interrupter ensures safe and reliable operation.
